Wounded Warrior Battalion - West

Our Mission

The Wounded Warrior Battalion - West (WWBn-W) is located at Camp Pendleton, CA. The Battalion’s area of responsibility is generally from west of the Mississippi River to Okinawa, Japan. The headquarters, Company Alpha and the Warrior Hope and Care Center are located aboard Camp Pendleton, CA.

Company Bravo is located aboard Naval Medical Center San Diego, and Company Charlie located aboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii. The battalion also has a Patient Assist Team located at Marine Corps Base, Twenty-nine Palms, and liaison cells at the VA Poly Trauma Center in Palo Alto, CA and Okinawa, Japan. The Warrior Hope and Care Center offers campus-style access to a full complement of services, such as reconditioning, counseling, Recovery Care Coordinators, Medical Case Mangers, and physical training.

WWBn-W is committed to the successful recovery and transition of each Marine and family assigned to its care. The battalion shares the mission and objectives of the Wounded Warrior Regiment and focuses on the whole Marine – mind, body, spirit, family – in addressing recovery needs. WWBn-W Call Center

Wounded Warrior Battalion-West (WWBn-W) Call Center provides research, reference, and referral for wounded, ill, and injured Marines and Sailors and their families, who request or require assistance throughout all phases of recovery in order to assist in rehabilitation and transition.
