March 1-6, 2013

The Marine Corps Trials is a seven-sport competition for wounded, ill and injured Marines to train and compete with one another. It will take place at the Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif. This is a selection event for the 50-person All-Marine team who will represent the Marine Corps at the Warrior Games in Colorado Springs, Colo.

April 2013

The Wounded Warrior Regiment celebrates its fifth anniversary caring for wounded, ill and injured Marines.

May 11-17, 2013

The Warrior Games was created in 2010 as an introduction to Paralympic sports for wounded, ill and injured service members and veterans. More than 200 wounded, ill and injured servicemen and veterans from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and Special Operation compete in seven-sports.

The 38th Marine Corps Marathon honors the dedication, sportsmanship and patriotism of its participants.

Warrior Care Month is designated to increase awareness throughout the military of wounded warrior support programs, as well as to reassure service members that the Department of Defense is committed to caring for them and their families.
