Listed below are the primary assets that stand ready to assist WII Marines and their families.

 
Coordinates the reception and distribution of donations and invitations.

 
Mobilized reserve Marines who are located throughout the country to conduct face-to-face visits and telephone outreach.

 
Provides support and referral resources to wounded, ill and injured Marines and their families.

 
Assists Marines through the IDES which determines if a Marine is fit to continue military service and also provides the basis for the VA to rate the Marine’s disabilities.

 
Provides legal advice and/or services to assist wounded, ill and injured Marines in understanding the various stages of the recovery process including medical boards, rebuttals, informal finding, formal findings and petitions for relief.


The Wounded Warrior Regiment along with the parent unit ensures that each Marine has the tools and information they need to make informed decisions.


Establishes a relationship with the Marine and families and collaborate with both medical and nonmedical team members to support the Marine during their recovery. Advises the Commanding Officer regarding medical issues, emerging technologies and treatments impacting wounded, ill and injured Marines.


Ensures that wounded, ill and injured Marines receive all pay and entitlements due to them.


Recovery Care Coordinators (RCCs): Serve as a liaison, improve care delivery and ensure goals stay on track.


Provides comprehensive spiritual and emotional care regardless of background, belief and duty.


Receives calls for assistance and also conducts outreach calls for follow-on monitoring.


Connects wounded, ill and injured Marines with government and private employers, identify education and job training resources, and obtain resume and job application tips.


Provides traumatically injured servicemembers funds to meet immediate, post-injury financial needs.


Provides opportunities for Marines to engage in individual or team sports.
