Staying in Touch via Surveys

The Wounded Warrior Regiment (WWR) continually works to ensure we are in touch with those we serve and that we understand their concerns, aspirations and how they are inspired. One method the Regiment uses to stay in touch with our Marines and families is through surveys. Surveys were administered on the following topics in 2012: Care Coordination, WWR Medical Cell, Marine Corps Trials, pre-Warrior Games Training Camps, Warrior Games and Warrior Athlete Reconditioning Program Camps. Below are some of the findings:

• Care Coordination survey respondents were satisfied / very satisfied with the WWR’s Care Coordination elements, such as their Section Leaders, District Injured Support Coordinators, Call Center / Contact Center representatives, Recovery Care Coordinators and Family Readiness Staff. Satisfaction levels ranged from 83 % to 93%.

• 91% of respondents from the Medical Cell survey indicated that overall they were “very satisfied” / “satisfied” with the Medical Cell. The attributes respondents were most satisfied with were sensitive to concerns, available when needed, and ability to provide helpful information. Overall, 91% of respondents are satisfied (very satisfied / satisfied) with the level contact they have had with the Medical Cell.

• 73% of respondents from the Marine Corps Trials stated that participating assisted in their recovery (and 20% were neutral). One person said “Thank you for this, everything about this program has made me a better person and got me back on my feet.” • 54% of respondents from the pre-Warrior Games Training Camps stated that participating assisted in their recovery (and 29% were neutral).

• 95% of respondents from the Warrior Games stated that participating assisted in their recovery (and 5% were neutral).

• 74% of respondents from the Warrior Athlete Reconditioning Program Camps stated that participating assisted in their recovery (and 19% were neutral).

The WWR will continue to survey WII Marines to ensure we are meeting their needs. If you’d like more information on the roles and responsibilities of the Regiment and Battalion Staff, visit the Fact Sheet Library hosted on this website.
