Family Support is a primary mission of the Wounded Warrior Regiment and is essential to a successful recovery process of a wounded, ill, or injured Marine. Through the Family Readiness Officers, we coordinate regular family support events at the unit level and provide information and referral services on more than 80 resources available to all Marines and their families. It is also a primary duty of each Family Readiness Officer to communicate proactively and regularly with each Marine and designated family members we support. This allows the Family Readiness Officer to provide timely information and to receive feedback directly from Marines and families regarding their family support needs or concerns.
