OUR MISSION
The Call Center, dedicated to a fallen Marine who was severely injured in a roadside
blast in Iraq in February 2005, is a 24/7 operation that receives calls for assistance and also
conducts outreach calls to Marines and Marine veterans to determine if their needs are being met,
offer assistance, and follow-on monitoring to ensure issue resolution.
WII Marines and their families may contact the Call Center for advice and/or support for many issues, including:
- Medical/Psychological Health Concerns
- Benefits and Entitlements
- Traumatic Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance
- Pay and Entitlements
- Social Security Disability Insurance
- Awards (Purple Heart)
- Veterans Administration
- GI Bill
- Employment/Education
- Traumatic Brain Injury
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Counseling on a variety of topics
In addition to the WWR Call Center, both Wounded Warrior Battalion East and West have call
centers. These centers reach out to active duty WII Marines who remained with or returned to their
parent commands. This proactive engagement enables the Regiment and Battalions to monitor
their recovery and provide information on new programs and/or resources that would benefit the
Marine and their family.
