Transition Center

Our mission is to insure that Service Members have a successful transition back to their community. The Transition Center is the focal point of all efforts to assist transitioning Service Members.

The ultimate goal is to develop an Individualized Transition Plan for each Service Member and to assist the Service Member to complete the plan. The Transition Center will remain a resource even after they leave the service. We will remain available to assist to insure no Service Member falls through the cracks.

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)

The VA local representatives provide the following services :

The Department of Labor (DOL)

The DOL's Recovery and Employment Assistance Lifelines (REALifelines) Initiative in partnership with the Employment Development Department provides OEF/OIF wounded or injured veterans, transitioning service members, and their family members with the resources needed to successfully transition to rewarding careers.

DOL's REALifelines include:

Disability Resources

Service Members are made aware of disability resources that might aide them as they return to civilian life. Many federal programs will be available to assist them with specific disability needs after they leave the Service Member Corps.

Community Resources

Programs such as Marine For Life, Disabled American Veterans, American Legion, State Veterans Services, and the Purple Heart Society, amongst many other resources are valuable sources of information and support for returning Veterans.

For more information, please contact our Transition Center Coordinator by phone at (760) 763-6793 or via email.
