Charitable Donations

Many Americans are proud of the United States Marine Corps and her Marines and Sailors, and those same citizens are grateful for the sacrifices of wounded Marines and Sailors. Justifiably, those grateful Americans want to "do something" to demonstrate their gratitude by giving of their time and resources.

Due to the vast number of Veterans Service Organizations, not-for-profit organizations, other charities and generous citizens, Wounded Warrior Battalion-West has received many gifts and donations since its inception. These gifts have been furniture for the barracks, rehabilitative sports trips, cookies, and Christmas parties (just to name a few).

Because the Marines and Sailors in this battalion are active-duty personnel, ethics laws and regulations govern their gift giving and acceptance. Wounded Warrior Battalion-West and its Marines and Sailors can receive gifts and donations; however, all donations must undergo an ethics review by the chain-of-command. The ethics review is essential for compliance with current regulations.

For more information about giving, please contact the Charitable Organizations Liaison and VSO Liaison by phone at (760) 815-6194 or via e-mail.

Disclaimer: As an active duty United States Marine Corps battalion, all our requirements are being fully met by our higher headquarters. Nevertheless, we understand the public's desire to help. If there is something you wish to donate to our Wounded Warriors, please contact our Charitable Donations Liaison by phone at (760) 815-6194 or via e-mail.
