Referral Procedures
Wounded Warrior Battalion East offers the following procedures to assist in provide commands with
tools to assist wounded, ill, and/or injured personnel in transitioning to the Wounded Warrior Regiment.
1. Review the Referral Process Brief
2. Complete the Unit Command Endorsement
3. Complete the Medical Questionnaire
4. Send completed packages to [email protected]
Once both commands have discussed the referral and the referral has been approved, the parent command
will receive an e-mail or phone call from the WWBn Adjutant. The parent command will generate TAD
orders for approximately 90 days. The individual will check out of their unit, NBC and CIF. The
individual will then report to the WWBn with medical and dental records to the Battalion S-1 located
at Bldg H-14F.
During this period of TAD the Wounded Warrior Battalion will track and monitor the individual's
medical care. If it is determined by medical authority that the individual's medical care is going to
exceed 90 days; the Wounded Warrior Battalion will contact the individual's parent command and discuss
a transfer by service record. Once both commands agree upon the transfer, the Wounded Warrior Battalion
will submit the request for transfer by service record to HQMC for action in accordance with MCO 6320.2E.
