Courage To Talk
Courage to Care, Courage to Talk provides tips on ways to discuss war injuries with children.

Focus Project
FOCUS (Families OverComing Under Stress) provides resiliency training to military families. FOCUS World is an interactive, online education tool designed to help military families become stronger in the face of challenges by providing both parents and kids a fun place to learn and practice important skills, such as: emotional regulation, goal setting, and communication.

Marine Corps Community Services
Marine Corps Community Services is a comprehensive resource for the Marine Corps community. The website features information on family life, including: family team building; children, youth, and teen programs; and parent support.

Military Child Education Coalition
The Military Child Education Coalition offers a course called “Living in the New Normal,” which teaches adults in military children’s lives how to help children handle trauma and loss.

Military One Source
Parenting, child care you name it Military OneSource was created to help with just about any need. Their free service is provided by the Department of Defense for active-duty, Guard, and Reserve service members and their families.

National Association of Child Care Resources & Referral Agencies
NACCRRA provides child care assistance during the recuperation of severely injured military members.

National Military Family Association
National Military Family Association provides a toolkit geared toward adults in military kids lives to help give the people in military kids lives teachers, school counselors, coaches, community leaders, religious leaders, neighbors, family friends, or relatives a way to help them manage stress and affirm the positive aspects of military life.

Naval Center Combat & Operational Stress Control
NCCOSC is dedicated to the mental health and well-being of Navy and Marine Corps service members and their families. The website provides a variety of resources and tools including ways to connect with kids and tips to talk with kids about war.

Our Military Kids
Our Military Kids provides grants to children of wounded warriors for sports, fine arts, camps, and academic tutoring programs.

Sesame Workshop
Teaching children to become resilient and flexible in a quickly changing world requires patience and a little help. Discuss and explore ideas with your child using their fun activities, tips, and songs, and help them gain the confidence they need to thrive during difficult times.
